QUESTIONS & ANSWERS DURING COVID-19
Our online store is now re-stocked most days with a limited selection of 16kg sacks and some home baking flour multipacks ( 1kg x 6 or 1.5kg x 5). If items state “out of stock” they cannot be purchased. We don’t have a waiting list and we’re sorry, but we cannot confirm which flour varieties will be available when. Please check back on the website for availability. There is not a set time of day when our online shop will be re-stocked. Orders are strictly one 16kg sack or multipack per product, per person. Please do not contact us until you’ve read these Q&As, we are a small team and every communication we answer takes us away from precious time running the mill. WHY CAN’T I BUY ANYTHING FROM YOUR ONLINE SHOP?
Some items/all items may be out of stock, they are clearly listed as “out of stock” in red when out of stock. We are using a new live stock system so we can manage our online shop more effectively, items will be re-stocked most days and this will be depend on what we’ve milled. We are asking customers to check back for availability.
WHY DO YOU SHOW YOUR FULL RANGE, BUT I CAN’T PURCHASE ANYTHING?
We keep our full range visible, so customers know what types of flour we sell for future reference.
ARE YOU ABLE TO ADD ME TO A WAITING LIST?
Unfortunately with the way our online shop works, this isn't possible.
HOW DO I KNOW IF ITEMS ARE OUT OF STOCK?
It states “out of stock” in red below the image of the product and you will not be able to add this to your basket.
I NEED A CERTAIN FLOUR, CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT DAY/TIME IT WILL BE BACK IN STOCK?
It’s not possible to do this at this busy time unfortunately. We are asking customers to keep checking availability at www.flour.co.uk
WHY ARE THERE NO PRICES VISIBLE?
Prices are only visible when you’re able to purchase the flour. During this busy time we cannot provide prices by e-mail or over the phone. As an example, a 16kg sack of Manitoba is £18.49 and Culinary Plain and Self Raising are £13.49. A multipack of 5 x Finest Self Raising flour is £7.25
WHEN WILL YOU SELL 1KG AND 1.5KG HOME BAKING FLOUR AGAIN?
We are now selling a selection of multipacks, we're re-stocking most days and will have selected items available, this will vary.
HOW LONG WILL MY ONLINE ORDER TAKE?
We are currently aiming to dispatch within 7 working days, however your order may take up to 21 working days to arrive. Please only contact us if you have not received your order after 21 working days. During this time we cannot respond to enquiries regarding shipping and delivery.
WHY HAVE DHL CONTACTED ME TO SAY MY ORDER IS DELAYED?
If you have received a communication from DHL our courier to ask you to contact us, this is because the parcel has left us but there is a slight delay in their delivery network. Please contact us if you have not received your parcel within 48 hours of this communication from DHL and we will look into this for you.
IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY I CAN ORDER FLOUR FROM YOU?
Unfortunately during this time the only way you can order flour from us is via our online shop. We don’t take home baking orders by phone or email. If you’re an existing trade customer please contact your sales representative.
WHERE ELSE CAN I PURCHASE YOUR FLOUR?
Our home baking range is stocked in various independent stores including; farm shops, delis and fine food shops. You can also purchase online at Ocado and in East of England Co-op stores. Some high-street bakeries may also be selling our flour.
If you’re local to Chelmsford you can visit Marriage’s Country Store (Parkway, CM2 7PX) which sells our range. They have limited stock, so if you’re making a special trip we recommend calling to see what’s available first. 01245 269663. The shop is open Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm. During this time we are accepting card only and limiting the amount of flour purchased. There is also a one in one out policy to protect our staff and customers.
DO YOU SELL VIA AMAZON AND/OR EBAY? IS THIS PRODUCT GENUINE?
We don’t sell directly through these sites, however some of the wholesalers who purchase from us do have listings on Amazon. Without seeing the product and examining the barcode we aren’t able to confirm if the product is genuine. However, as long as the stitching/seal is intact, and it weighs the right amount it is unlikely to have been tampered with. If you are concerned you should contact your local Trading Standards.
DO YOU OFFER CLICK AND COLLECT?
Unfortunately we don't offer click and collect.
CAN YOU DELIVER INTERNATIONALLY?
During this time unfortunately we cannot organise any international deliveries for home bakers.
DO YOU SELL YEAST?
Unfortunately, we don’t sell yeast. Do visit our website www.flour.co.uk for recipes like soda bread that don’t require yeast. You could also have a go at making your own sourdough starter.
I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND – CAN YOU PROCESS A CANCELLATION AND REFUND?
If you decide to cancel your order, please let us know your order number and we will process a cancellation and refund (provided your parcel hasn’t left us). Please bear with us as this may take a few days.
