We were delighted to exhibit at the Essex Schools Food and Farming Day yesterday.
The sun was shining as 3,000 Essex primary school children visited Writtle College for the annual event, now in its sixth year.
The Essex Schools Food and Farming Day is a chance for children to get out of the classroom, to learn about where their food comes from and the role of Essex farmers.
Marriage’s ‘Farmhouse Breakfast’ stand outlined the journey of breakfast items from field to fork – children also had the chance to have a go at milling their own flour using local wheat.
